Setting Up Utilities

Be sure to setup your utility accounts (electric, water, and gas if applicable) as soon as possible. You will not be allowed to move in without providing proof of your applicable utility accounts being setup and transferred into your name. If you plan on setting up any other utilities such as cable or internet, be sure to do so quickly so you don’t experience any delays upon move in.

For questions regarding the setup process or anything related to your utility bill, contact your utility provider. See a list of utility providers here. Your utility provider should have been provided to you in your “Welcome Packet”.

Mailbox Keys & Responsibilities

My New Rental does not manage any community mailbox kiosks or mailbox keys for your home.

If your home has a mail kiosk within the community, you will need to get the key from the post office (USPS.com). In order to pickup your mail key from your post office, they will require you to provide them with a copy of your lease agreement and your photo ID. Any charges for mail service are your responsibility.

My New Rental is only responsible for your traditional mail post at the end of your driveway.

HOA Communities

Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs) do great things, like provide amenities, maintain common areas, and make sure the neighborhood looks its best. If you are a resident of an HOA community, you get the benefits, but also have some responsibilities.

Please take time to review and understand the HOA Covenant, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) as well as the benefits and amenities available to you in the HOA Communities page on our website. If you have any questions in regards to the rules and amenities, please reach out to the contact number for your community’s HOA.
